Nekünk, orvosoknak fel kell világosítanunk a pácienst az érvekről és ellenérvekről, hogy élhessen döntési jogával. Nem mondhatom azt, hogy feltétlenül oltassa be magát, csak azt: a betegek között hétszer nagyobb a várandósok halálozása, 50 százalékkal nő a fejlődési rendellenességek gyakorisága, és ha egy kismama beoltatja magát, akkor a csecsemője hat hónapig védett lesz. Az ellenérvek pedig minimálisak – mondta a 168 Órának Czeizel Endre.
Az ukrajnai járvány észhez térít bennünket? Nőtt az érdeklődés a vakcina iránt.
– Amilyen állapotban a társadalom van, szerintem ez kevés. Orvosi szempontból örülnék, ha az Egészségügyi Világszervezet pesszimista becslése nem igazolódna be. Pedig elképzelhető, hogy ez lenne kijózanító hatású.
A WHO szerint a magyar lakosság 30 százaléka fog megbetegedni, több tízezren kerülnek kórházba, és három-négyezren halnak meg.
– Talán akkor majd a magyar társadalom is rájön arra, amit Széchenyi fogalmazott meg: magyarnak magyar a legnagyobb ellensége. A megelőzés társadalmi szinten akkor hatékony, ha hatmillióan megkapják az oltást. Erről már szó nincs, mert annyira meghülyítették az embereket. Viszont ha legalább kétmillióan beoltatnák magukat, akkor a 30 százalékos megbetegedési arány inkább a 10 százalékhoz közelítene.
Nem késő már?
– Ez a vihar előtti csend. Orvosi tapasztalat: ha halálos betegek vagyunk, akkor a halál előtti napokban jobban érezzük magunkat.
Az pedig szomorú tapasztalat a H1N1 kapcsán, amit egyik cikkében a szakértelem trónfosztásának nevezett.
– Eljutottunk oda, hogy minden, amit a tudomány produkált, megkérdőjelezhető. Az elmúlt héten tizenegy várandós asszonyból heten mondták nekem, hogy megkérdezték az orvosukat, beadassák-e maguknak a védőoltást. Három orvos nemhogy ellenezte, de a kérés ellenére a beadását is megtagadta. Persze az orvosok is nehéz helyzetben vannak. Egyrészt az ő tekintélyük is odaveszett, másrészt felelősségre vonják őket. Sokszor indokolatlanul, sokszor okkal. Ezért nekik már nem a beteg a legfontosabb, hanem önmaguk védelme.
Eddig ön volt az egyetlen, aki azt mondta, „személyesen vállal szakmai felelősséget, hogy a vakcina nem okozhat rendellenességet a terhes nőknél”.
– Demonstrálni akartam. Ha szakmailag biztosnak érzem magam, akkor nem az jár a fejemben, hogy baj lehet. És a tudatlanságról még nem beszéltünk: ha egy oltásnak mellékhatása van, azért a gyártó a felelős. Döbbenet, hogy a kollégák még ezt sem tudják. Nekünk, orvosoknak fel kell világosítanunk a pácienst az érvekről és ellenérvekről, hogy élhessen döntési jogával. Ám tekintélyes intézmények és háziorvosok is homlokegyenest mást mondanak.
– Hogy megértsük, miről van szó: szerintem három szintet érdemes elkülöníteni. Az első maga a demokrácia. A korábbi társadalmakban az orvos, a pedagógus megkérdőjelezhetetlen szaktekintély volt. Most azt látom, hogy bár az Országos Gyógyszerészeti Intézetnél, az ÁNTSZ-nél, a WHO-nál kiváló szakemberek dolgoznak, a hírek mégis arról szólnak, hogy ők rosszul végzik a munkájukat. Merthogy a következő szint a média. A szólásszabadság fontos, de istentelenül veszélyes. Az ötvenes években Einsteint behívták a televízióba, hogy beszéljen a relativitásról. Műsorbéli partnere a sarki fűszeres lett, aki szerint a relativitáselmélet baromság. Az emberek hatvan százaléka neki adott igazat. A média ugyanúgy ad hangot a valós szakmai véleménynek, mint az ál-, sőt rémhíreknek.
Az újságírók nem orvosok, hogy eldöntsék, kinek van igaza. És Keszthelyi Gyula is orvos, akinek blogjában csak ellenérveket olvashatunk. Hogy a csirkeembrióban tenyésztett oltásban mikroszennyeződések lehetnek, a hűtési lánc megszakad.
– Annak, hogy csirkeembrióban tenyésztik, és nem nyugati módon, majomtenyészetben, legalább három előnye van. A csirkeembrió jóval kevésbé szennyezett, a majomtenyészetből származókhoz olajat is kell adni, és az olajos injekció mindig jobban fáj. Ráadásul a legtöbb ilyen oltást kétszer kell beadni. Amikor már csak a pénz és a nézettség számít, a médiaszakembereknek felelősségtudata kell legyen.
El tudom képzelni, hogy egy magát felelősnek tartó jobboldali hírszerkesztő úgy érzi, megóvja nézőit a kormány „vörös vakcinájától”.
– Igen, és ez a harmadik szint: a politika. Értem én: az ellenzéknek az a küldetése, hogy a kormány minden intézkedését kritizálja, csakhogy most egy járvány megelőzéséről van szó.
Mondják is, hogy a vakcina jó, a kommunikációval van a baj.
– Amikor emberéletekről van szó, bűnnek tartom, hogy a humánum helyett a politikai indítékok kerekednek felül. A jobboldal olyan mértékben vesztette el a tárgyilagosságát, hogy borzasztó nehéz lesz a két szekértábort összebékíteni.
Merre a kiút? Eddig arról beszéltünk, hogy már a szakma véleménye sem mérvadó. És ez nemcsak az egészségügyben van így.
– A szakértelem tiszteletét kellene valahogy visszahozni. A konkrét ügyben, ha ne adj’ isten nagy tragédia lesz, akkor azt a jobboldal az egészségügyi kormányzat nyakába fogja varrni. De sokatmondóak a WHO múlt heti számai. Baltimore-ban 144-en haltak meg. Egyetlen oltott se. Ha valaki esetleg a közvetlen családtagját fogja elveszíteni azért, mert rábeszélték, hogy ne oltassa be magát, azt nehéz lesz azzal indokolni, hogy azért nem kérte a vakcinát, mert a kormány rossz.
Amerikában is komoly vakcinaellenes kampány zajlik, ahogy a briteknél, franciáknál, németeknél is nagy a vita.
– Az igaz, hogy a szakmai vélemény már ott sem megkérdőjelezhetetlen, ám Magyarországon kívül a pártpolitika ebbe sehol nem szól bele. Ez igazi hungarikum. És sokat ront a helyzetünkön.
