Szörnyű körülmények között tartottak három gyereket

Három gyereket tartottak fogva egy szálloda fürdőszobájában legalább kilenc hónapig.
- A gyerekek mind különböző apától származnak, fogvatartójuk édesanyjuk jelenlegi partnere volt, aki éheztette, verte, és szexuálisan is zaklatta a kicsiket.
A fürdőszobában a vécé nem működött, a fürdőkád szolgált alvóhelyként, ételt pedig csak ritkán kaptak a gyerekek.
Az esetre július 2-án derült fény, mikor az édesanya felhívta egyik rokonát, és közölte, félti saját és gyerekei életét.
A tízéves gyerek, akinek arca és végtagjai is tele voltak horzsolásokkal, azt mondta egy szociális munkásnak, eddig úgy érezte, saját rémálmában él.
A tizenegy éves arra panaszkodott, hogy sorozatos nemi erőszak áldozata volt. Az ötéves kisgyerek pedig annyira sovány volt, hogy végtagjaiban kirajzolódtak a csontok.
A gyerekeket nagybátyjuk és a rendőrség mentette ki, hasuk fel volt puffadva, bordáik pedig kiálltak.
Nagyon hálásak voltak megmentőiknek, a tizenegy éves így szólt: „Isten lenézett ránk, és meghallgatta imáinkat.”
A 30 éves anyát, Abneris Santiagót jelenleg egy gyermek elleni testi sértéssel vádolják, barátját, a 37 éves Alfred Santiagót pedig sorozatos nemi erőszakkal.
