Öngyilkossági kísérletet követett el Michael Jackson orosz hasonmása. A moszkvai Pavel Talalajev felvágta az ereit, amikor értesült a popsztár haláláról. A férfit ugyan megmentették, de azt mondta, mindenképpen megöli magát, hogy együtt lehessen ideáljával, akit saját másik énjének tekint. Az orosz fiatalember kilencéves kora óta rajong Michael Jacksonért, ekkor mondták neki, hogy hasonlít az énekesre. Azóta számos plasztikai műtétet végeztetett el magán, megvette a popcsillag néhány fellépőruháját, és megtanulta jellegzetes színpadi mozgását.
