A jámbor Paul Blart (Kevin James) mindig is arról ábrándozott, hogy egyszer majd motoros járőrként óvhatja közrendet. Egyelőre azonban biztonsági őrként cirkál a helyi plázában elektromos robogóján, és rajta kívül sajnos senki nem veszi komolyan felelősségteljes beosztását. Mikor azonban egy rablóbanda megtámadja az áruházat, és túszejtésbe kezdenek, elérkezik az idő, hogy a pocakos pacák bizonyítson! Ugyan még sosem volt bevetésen, és fegyvere sincs, Blart mégis bedobja magát, hogy megmutassa, ki az igazi ász!
